Primary school – Ceyreste
With Fasquelle Architects we designed a school in wood and stone for 180 pupils, with dedicated spaces for everyone: infants, older pupils and catering.
The school has 3 separate buildings each expressing their own specific characteristics. Their layout created an outdoor space that is reassuring, safe and high-quality. On an architectural level, the wood brings a natural and healthy warmth.
This division into 3 sections reduced the scale of the build to the scale of the children, with only one floor. We used varied and noble materials that clearly translate the function and use of each area.

THE DETAIL
The entrances to each school section are represented by a large volume covered by local stones, which serves to highlight their function.
